These speakers are for the budgeted customer who just needs to get a considerably good quality of audio output, not comparable to more sophisticated and costly higher end models in any way, though. For the price, they are a nice pair of speakers that are capable of delivering what the average user exactly wants. They can be considered good speakers for enhancing the volume output of laptops as it is very low in most of them. These also form the best pair of speakers for students as they are compact and cheap. A student may even not need very loud speakers if in a dorm and hence they serve the purpose well.

The ease of use of the speakers is worth taking a note as it is simply plug n use. All it needs is to be connected to the power output and the computer to give quality service. Since it is a pair of basic speakers, there is no subwoofer and the user does not have to connect the bulky transformer to the power like it is required for most of the speakers as the transformer is integrated into one of the speakers. The grill of the speakers is made of metal and hence has a higher life when compared to those made of fabric. The size of the speakers is small and that makes it convenient to place them wherever one wishes to. They can easily fit in any corner where space is a constraint.

The length of the cables is sufficiently long and it is convenient to place them far from the power switch because of the same reason. The finish of the speakers is also satisfactory and well above what one can expect from speakers of this price. The controls like the power button and the volume up/down button are conveniently placed and have good sensitivity. The headphone jack is also located on the outward side of the speaker. The functioning of the speakers is good for such a low end unit as the volume limit is pleasing and so is the sound quality. Though the sound cannot be compared to that of higher end speakers, it is good enough to be heard in an average sized room.

The audio is found to be distorted at higher volume levels and the bass of the speakers does not meet the expectations of the user. The speakers are light in weight making it easy to tip them over. There is a humming sound the user can hear when there is nothing playing. Since the speakers are very basic, they can just be used where the volume is terribly low as the speakers’ volume is not very high. They can mostly be used to hear youtube videos and playing music with them is not an apt application. They cannot even be used at a party as the volume is not loud enough and the sound quality does not match that has to be played at such places.

The speakers are good for small indoor applications and seeing that they come for around ten bucks, there is no other speaker system that can beat them.

Great inexpensive speakers

I was looking around for a while for the least expensive and still good quality speakers on Amazon, and these seem to be them. These have great sound quality and get plenty loud. All you have to do is plug the power cord into the wall and the green audio cord into the computer and it works. And I have to say that i think they look better in real life than in the pictures. Good buy. I cant think of any bad things about them.
Little Logtech, Lots'a Sound

Living in a quiet college community I wanted to have access to music while not disturbing other residents. I wanted a nice quality sound for listening to music via the internet and I found it in my new Logtech Stereo Speakers. The sound quality is not unlike that from any good audio system. For such a compact size the sound is awesome. I would recommend these speakers for listeners who enjoy good music while working at their computer or just for listening to music on any computer. They feature adjustable volume, just so you know, and adjusts well to graphic equalizer preferences. It dosent matter the type of music or sound. Logtech speakers adapt well to heavy bass, R and B, Jazz, classical music, video, and/or even techno! Whatever your listening preference Logtech multimedia speakers require little space and delivers quality sound.
Great Value

I wanted cheap speakers for my desk at work, I was never going to set the sound very high. For the money I paid, I expected some cheap plastic things that would fall over if I looked at them wrong and a volume knob that would fall off if it got the feeling I was thinking about turning it. Boy was I surprised when I opened these today.

Heavy enough to feel planted, solidly built, plenty of cord length (both power and pc connection), 3 rubber feet per speaker, and in my opinion, they look better than they do in photos. Sound quality is decent as well (it should be noted that, as I mentioned earlier, I'm at work and have not turned them up loud).

I think these are WELL worth the money.
Great choice for basic speakers

These speakers are a handy little pair -- they put out decent quality of sound for their size and price, and the volume capacity is excellent for a one bedroom apartment. (You probably couldn't DJ any sweet rave parties with them, but I've yet to need to crank them up all the way, even for a few of my weirdly quiet DVDs, so I'd say they're plenty loud. They definitely beat out my in-laptop speakers, several times over.)

The bass isn't the most clearly articulated sound in the world; I haven't had any problems with fuzziness or crackling, or really anything that would distract from tv/video/movie viewing, but there's definitely a certain level of crispness that they don't achieve. If you're a really picky audiophile, though, you're probably not going to be buying $15 speakers, and for your basic "I want to be able to listen to things with a decent sound quality at a reasonably high volume" needs, they're great.

Also: if you knock them off of a table two days after you get them and they hit a wood floor and the front metal grill pops off, you can just snap the grill back in place, and they still work perfectly well. At least, in my experience.
Big Bang for the Buck

ok so I normally use the $100+ speakers and these are not going to blow your mind or anything. For what its worth they are super practical and if you're using them with your desktop or laptop for basic voice chatting or minimal music listening then they are right up your alley. I tried them with skype (I have a usb mic which I think its absolutely required) so that the person on the other end can hear you with perfect clarity. I can hear the people I talk to as if they were sitting across the table. The features I really liked:

- Power Adaptor self contained within one of the speakers and the amp in the other speaker.
- Minimal and clean cord setup.

I put a small piece of electrical tape over the orange LED to minimize distraction and I'm set to go. I leave them on 24/7 and I don't hear any electrical noise when appliances are switched on or off in the vicinity.
